According to this forum post by Community Relations Manager Shane DeFreest, Atari is looking for community input into an official site overhaul:

So this is one of those times where we are going to reach out to the community and ask for some serious feedback and suggestions. Atari is in the process of a site re-design for NWN2.com. The idea is to make it more functional as a community site and less of a "marketing" site. With this in mind we'd like to hear what types of functionality the community would like to see on the site. Feel free to give details and specifics. This is one of those times where your constructive feedback will be heard, and passed along.

Even though there are only two responses at present, Community Rep "Khaveen" mentioned a LOT of great features:

- Don't auto-play the trailer animation (have a "play" button to be clicked)
- Downloads page is pretty empty
- More frequent news announcements: highlight quality custom community content, highlight patch contents, other things like the module-making contest for example
- Coordinate nwn2.com to replicate some the great info from Rob McGinnis' and other devs' blogs
- Either add developer diaries, or remove the Dev Diaries page
- Under Videos section, remove the "register at Atari to see more videos"... registering actually doesn't let you see any more videos
- Add an RSS feed to the main page of most recent forum (this forum) posts, number of people playing NWN2 online currently, # of servers, etc. (same as the side-bar does on this site nwn.bioware.com , and some community sites also do probably through an existing RSS feed)
- Add exclusive screenshots, info, or videos related to the expansion
- Decrease font size of the "fine print" at the bottom of the main site currently
- Create a "fan site kit" with NWN2 content for fansites to use in building their own sites
- For some reason, all the icons/images don't flow very well with the background, as if they clash
- Make sure that if there's a spot asking for registration ("New Visitors Register Now for Exclusive Access!") that there is something worthwhile in terms of exclusive access behind it
