Teleios: so you started in UO and are here in Atys now - why the change?
Javance: Venus..take that one
Javance: Then Taliesin
Venus Stormhaven: We have traveled many realms actually looking for a place to call home
Javance: Then Raist
Venus Stormhaven: as you know as everyone knows a gaming addicts world is ever changing with technology
Venus Stormhaven: we like to stay on top of things and grow with today gaming technology and Ryzom DEFINATELY got our attention

Venus Stormhaven: we started in beta and we are having a blast we love this game and plan on being here a long time

Teleios: was there any separation moving over here?
Venus Stormhaven: Through the years and the realms we have grown stronger as a family .. but we leave a few behind in each game to carry on our legacy
Taliesin SR: We have always been a fun love'n bunch of gamers.... We started in Ultima online. Some of our Guild/Family has stayed behind and continues the Legacy.
Javance: We actually *encourage* diversity, and want our members to propagate thru different virtual worlds...to continue the tradition.
Taliesin SR: Some members will join the current game and re-unite with the guild.
Venus Stormhaven: we meet wonderful friends in different world and many of them we keep in touch with for years .. it is a great thing to have such a tight knit gaming family
Taliesin SR: Also by having some members in other games people can venture back into the past and visit the old memories and still have a home and family.
Teleios: have any real life relationships formed throughout the group??
Javance: aye..many real life relationships
Taliesin SR: indeed!
Venus Stormhaven: yes.. Taliesin and I have been gaming together for years and comes to visit us .. we have lan parties
Raist757: Yea - I was actually the last active Storm member in SWG, and had lost touch with the group, until I saw an ad for this game. Then I saw Javance talking in region in newbie land, and here we are again :)
Teleios: I love lan parties
Javance: Often during our DAoC days...the house here with myself and Venus would be filled with StormVolk members from the West Coast, heh
Venus Stormhaven: several others as well some of them couldn't be present for this evening's interview regrettably
Venus Stormhaven: we have folks from all over Oregon and Washington come visit ... it's really fun
Teleios: wow, that's exciting
Teleios: now that you are in Ryzom - what do you see happening?
Venus Stormhaven: Next summer we are planning a Stormhaven "then and now" party with T-shirts in a family reunion style
Taliesin SR: We have been in touch with old guild members from previous games and many are starting to make the move to Ryzom
Teleios: ahah, that will be great
Javance: Stormhaven here, will continue the tradition established elsewhere. Fun and friends...met within a virtual world..continued to our hectic lives here in the 'real' shard
Javance: It's almost become a virtual family; we share much not encompassed within the games..and that's totally encouraged
Teleios: do you have any definitive plans as a guild within Ryzom?
Venus Stormhaven: We hope to be an active part of Ryzom's habitants. We would like to continue our traditions of guild events and server wide events
Javance: Oh! Definitely! Those who seek Stormhaven as a home and are with us long term, are achievers.
Taliesin SR: To unite all homins alike and keep our lands safe.
Javance: We have goals. We will have an outpost. We will strive to make our name known.
Venus Stormhaven: Yes, as we are all new to Ryzom at this point we are building many relationships .... forging alliances with other guilds and getting to know and be known by our community
Teleios: multiracial guild?
Venus Stormhaven: We look forward to seeing what the game unfolds for us as a guild and as a civilization of diverse races
Venus Stormhaven: At this time we are a Tryker only guild... that may .. or may not change as we travel more
Javance: I think..the most exciting part of the 'saga' in Ryzom..is the opportunity to shape the evolution of the planet. In other games we held keeps..took relics, formed a town. Established bases.
Javance: here...it's server-wide evolution...with may options that excite us.
Teleios: have any guesses about what the saga might entail or what a Ryzom might be?
Raist757: Yea - we don't even really know what we CAN do in this game. Its the first MMORPG that I haven't owned the GUIDE on - I don't even think there is a GUIDE
Teleios: no, there isn't ( :
Javance: There's much speculation. No one KNOWS for sure what will happen..that's a large part of the excitement.
Javance: What are the Karavan? Who are the Kami and where did they come from?
Javance: who shall we ally with?
Javance: and...how will our decisions effect our world?
Raist757: That's part of what got my interest - so much to explore - can't just go to a website and know everything

TwixOfRyzom: I agree with Raist everyone learnes from everyone in game
Venus Stormhaven: The idea of guilds taking up and rebuilding outposts and defending them has much interest for me
Raist757: That's what got my attention too - that there is an 8 year story, an actual ending
Teleios: what would you like the community to know about Stormhaven?
Javance: ah...Stormhaven! What are we...who are we...where are we going?
Javance: The world we find ourselves in here...should know that Stormhaven is just that: a shelter from the tempest. A fellowship. All working for each and every one of the members of the family.

Javance: Our goals may change. Our allegiances may be modified. But *unity* and *family* will never be lost.
Teleios: is anyone welcome?
Puk of Ryzom: Being a new member, I've felt welcomed, as if I've always been in the guild ... that's a real strength within Stormhaven
Raist757: One of the things I like is that a lot of the core players are pretty mature. Me, Javance, and Karizma are all over 28.
Javance: All races...all creeds are accepted and welcome within our home.
Javance: yeah..sometimes I feel 98...
Venus Stormhaven: A united front to take up arms when needed to defend our lands and our lives and the lives of our comrades
Raist757: not that I have a problem with young players at all, just nice to not always have to deal with 'leet dudes all the time.
Javance: Actually... Teleios...you should ask the new members, Puk and Twix..how they find their new family..and what they've seen..

Teleios: what do you think of Stormhaven compared to other guilds/the game thus far
TwixOfRyzom: Well as for will they accept anyone....they let me in... that took some risk hehe
Puk of Ryzom: This guild has been great! It's truly like a family, even though I'm new
Venus Stormhaven: and I for one want as many people as we can ally to fight them! I don't want to see Hominkind come to the brink of extinction again in my lifetime!
TwixOfRyzom: I have really been welcomed and i love the community and family feel of Stormhaven
Teleios: what would you reccommend to new players looking for a home/
Javance: Puk...Twix...go for it..tell 'em
Puk of Ryzom: Definitely look into Stormhaven. There's enough help from all the players that no one is really left behind

Venus Stormhaven: We don't have a lot of guilds to compare with .. We have forged alliances with a few like Tryker Black Co. a great group of people willing to help in any fashion.
Venus Stormhaven: The great thing about a new game Teleios?
Venus Stormhaven: We are all learning .. together... and the comaraderie that build amongst the players is great
Venus Stormhaven: Ryzom has a very mature community
TwixOfRyzom: anyone looking for guilds needs to know how much work goes into running them I think. But the best thing to look for is nice friendly and supportive members

Teleios: What are your thoughts Raist, what would you like to see happen? what do you think of the group? what would you recommend?
Raist757: The group is awesome. I really don't know what to expect from the game - so its hard to recommend anything...

Raist757: Usually I research the hell out of a game, and read all the forums and web info
Raist757: the fact that I can't do that here is frustrating, but at the same time it is kinda exciting
Teleios: well I think this gives a great overview of your guild and your presence in Ryzom - I'd like to take any final statements you'd like to say to everyone
Puk of Ryzom: I would recommend not getting frustrated. Saga of Ryzom is packed with ideas and concepts that can become overwhelming. A good guild like Stormhaven, makes that all digestible
Venus Stormhaven: One thing is for sure Teleios as in any realm... Stormhaven will grow to be a force of great importance in Ryzom for fun, friendship, and of coarse the HUNT!
Javance: Sure, Teleios...Taliesin..why don't you and Venus close here. Say what you wish about Stormhaven....and its future
Taliesin SR: We will Certainly make our mark upon the land of Ryzom.

Raist757: People are what make MMORPS. I would still be in UO if the core group was still there, and if this core group leaves, I will go to, because no matter how cool the game is, this group of people is what makes it work for me
Venus Stormhaven: One thing I like about this guild Teleios ... we all go out of our way to make the new people in the guild feel just as important as the ones that have been with us for years
