Primitive Tribes

The primitive tribes consist of any of four species of primates considered to be the forerunners of hominkind. It was first thought that homins were descended from these primitive beings but it is now believed that the primitive primates and homins had a common ancestor.

Indeed similarities can be drawn between the Gibba�s and the Zora�s, the Cutes and the Trykers, the Frahars and the Fyros and the now extinct Momos and the Matis.

Cute

Cutes live near the great lakes of Atys. These peaceful primates form small communities that live from hunting smaller animals and gathering berries. They will gladly swap things with Trykers, such as fruit and hides, for tools or weapons.

Trykers and cutes live in peace with one another as long as the Trykers do not hunt on cute territory. Such violations can provoke the wrath of the cutes who then carry out raids on Tryker villages.

Frahar

The frahars live in clans in the Great Desert where they hunt in packs. Formidable hunters, they watch and wait till their prey is at its disadvantage before moving in for the kill. They use their knowledge of fire to their own destructive ends.

The Fyros regularly patrol the frahar territory limits in order to avoid any intrusion by frahar packs.

Gibba�

Gibba�s are semi-intelligent creatures that live in the jungles of Atys. They roam in large troops and dispute the jungle with the Zora�s whose distant cousins they are said to be. Gibba�s are born with the gift of magic. In spite of their apparent simplicity, they are able to cast spells with the ease of any magician.

The Zora�s assert that the gibba�s are protected by the Kamis and that killing these creatures will only bring bad luck.
