Inhabitants

The major Atysian forces, the Kamis and the Karavan, are at the very least held in awe if not venerated by homins. They possess intimate knowledge of the world at large as far back as creation and constitute an authority on the arts of magic or technology.

The heedful homin will be aware that the individual's relationship with these superior beings will one way or another have a direct impact on her or his future. Other minor forces include the tribes of dissident homins and the inferior primates which are by no means to be underestimated.

Kami

Strange and eerie entities capable of taking on various appearances, the Kamis constitute a major influence on Atys and its habitants. They stand vigil over the plant kingdom and ensure that no one may destabilize the fragile equilibrium of the planet they cherish. They share a collective conscience and it would seem that no living species may escape their perception, and consequently, their wrath if their laws of conservation are transgressed. [Read More]

Karavan

The Karavan is composed of mysterious anthropoid beings in black suits and helmets that cover their entire heads. With the exception of the Prime Roots, the Karavan is present throughout Atys. Indeed, the homins have never yet explored an area where Karavan presence is not felt. [Read More]

Primitive Tribes

The primitive tribes consist of any of four species of primates considered to be the forerunners of hominkind. It was first thought that homins were descended from these primitive beings but it is now believed that the primitive primates and homins had a common ancestor.[Read More]

Homin Tribes

Throughout the lands of Atys, dissenting homins have split away from their original civilizations forming fifty or so communities. These communities, otherwise known by the civilizations as tribes, control entire regions and continuously strive to extend their living space.Tribes and civilizations struggle to secure vital zones in a fight for survival, consequently tribe and civilization outposts are subject to incessant sieges and raids.
